Newsflash
If you were wondering why the start of the HHH was delayed, here is the reason.  The start was programed to go off at 7:05 AM.  The pilot of the lead Air Force jet had the start line set in his flight computer, as well as the time, 7:05 AM.  The Jets were on approach to the Start Line when a news helicopter came into our air space.  The pilots were warned by Air Force control of posible danger.  The pilots flew a close circle waiting for a chance to drop in.  The chance came at 7:10 AM.  The lead pilot asked the other pilots, considering the situation, did anyone object to completing the mission.   The radios were silent!

The US Air Force fly overs are always a patriotic and moving moment for us at the start line.  Those men in the jets gave us all they had to give.  God Bless them and America.

The trail crew that maintains the Wee-Chi-Tah trail and the Off Road Committee are proud of the trail and the growth of off road cycling and trail running but who would have thought "Best in Texas"  If hard work is an indication, the Wee-Chi-Tah Trail Races committee earned 1st place.
